***** The auto drive was peaceful until a certain point ****
Auto waits in a signal and next to the auto there is a bike with a young couple on it(probably they must be lovers) ....We couldnt avoid looking at them since they were quite close to the auto..
Auto driver : Indha maadiri public place-la love panravangala paarthaley enakku pidikaadhu..
Me : ennanga ??? (Just incase if i had heard something else..)
Auto driver : (Repeats)....
Me : hmm... (wondering why he is telling that to me)
Auto driver : Love panlaam....veetla pannunga, adhu enna roadla ? public placela
Me : hmm...(again..wondering whether he is a paranoid !!!)
Auto driver : naan kooda oru ponna love pannen madam...
Me : Oh...
Auto driver : Aaana andha ponnukku enna suthama pidikala..enna paarthaley bayandhu odidum.. (ofcourse he looked lil scary)
Me : Oh ho.....
Me : (cudnt resist asking) kalyanam aayidicha ?
Auto driver : mm...3 varusham munnadi aachu...adhey ponnu kooda..
Me : oh, very good..
Auto driver : andha ponnu enna pidikala pidikala nu sollitu irundhudhu...naan vidala...oru naal auto-la thooki pottukittu koil-kku kootitu poi thaali kattiten
**This statement sent a chill down my spine **** wiped the little drops of sweat on my face and waited for my home to come..
Auto driver (continued) : namakku edavadhu pidicha podhum....adha vidradhu illeenga....enna aanalum sari....enakku edha pidikudhu adha adanjey theeruven...!!!! (could see the difference in his tone !)
Me : (Remembered a recent movie in which villain says a similar dialogue)....'Oh'
(counting minutes to reach home, also to be on the safer side put my sleeky mobile inside my bag...thinking if by chance he likes my mobile???!!!..)
Auto driver : aparam andha ponnu 'aaa ooooooo' apadeenu kathittu irundhudhu...aana aparam adangi ippo ozhunga kudumbam nadathudhu..
Me : oh ho...saringa...ingeye niruthidunga............naan erangaren....
Auto driver : oh..edam vandhuducha.....( Thank God ! he stops)
Gave him 50 bucks...didnt wait for the change...rushed towards home by walk....(naatla makkal-laam oru maargama thaan alanjittu irukaanga!!! shh....what a conversation!)

If i had known his background i wudnt have definitely bargained ;-)..Though it was not bcoz of the money the conversation happenned !

Auto kaaran kitta pechu vechukavey koodaathu... I remember once when the driver started crying and started telling me about his wife who is sick and he not having any money for her medical expense... All of that could have been just to extort money from me but he sounded so genuine...
The other time, there was this guy who started talkin about his dreams of becoming a hero and how he and vijaykanth were friends before he became the captain !!
So, I think we should all stop with just bargaining !
Generally in India, while travelling in Auto or in Koyambedu buses, I try to avoid talking to these drivers or some strangers..
No personal questions entertained and simple acknowledgement of what they talk.. if they ask some question, I used to lie liberally... Naa Kuusaama soluven.
Will try to cut them off as early as possible...

Do you think if we stop bargaining these things will not happen ? I dont think so..And i strongly feel it was not bcoz i bargained..! that auto driver was probably a crazy guy..thatz all i cud conclude out of the whole incident !

Ram, Even i dont entertain speaking much to auto drivers or any stranger for that matter..But this guy didnt seem to leave me ! and he was NON STOP i shud say !
Oye ! I never said we should stop bargaining... I said we should stop with just bargaining... anything more would only lead to unwarranted conversations...
